About the event
This is a theater story workshop that we invite a Taiwanese theater lecturer, Chih-Yuan, come to Atlanta.
The workshop's fee is $100. And it includes 6 classes and 1 performing day.
The date of the class will be:
- Oct. 18th (Wed.) 6:30pm-9:30pm--Theme 1: Textuality of Language and Posture
- Oct. 19th (Thu.) 6:30pm-9:30pm--Theme 2: Text within Performance and Text outside Performance
- Oct. 25th (Wed.) 6:30pm-9:30pm--Theme 3: Visual Structure of Text
- Oct. 26th (Thu.) 6:30pm-9:30pm--Theme 4: Transformation and Combination before Text
- Nov. 1st (Wed.) 6:30pm-9:30pm--Theme 5: Sensation and Narrative
- Nov. 2nd (Thu.) 6:30pm-9:30pm--Theme 6: Gaming Experience and Transformation of Text
- Nov. 4th (Sat.) 2:00pm-5:00pm --Presentation day

Why do we want to tell a story? What moves us? Until the narrative of a story is complete, all the answers may change at any moment. This is the joy and mystery of storytelling. In the face of an increasingly overwhelming amount of information and a contemporary world where self-awareness is dissociated from various media and information, traditional linear storytelling becomes challenging. While embracing diversity and openness is a trend in civilization, the ability to focus purely on a single path is fragmented, as if we are somewhat immersed in an abyss of emptiness.
